Alea jacta est...

Mon dossier est bien arrivé à Paris (malgré la grève, ouf! Petite anecdote au passage, ma maman qui devait partir comme jeune fille au pair au Canada dans sa jeunesse, n'est finalement jamais partie à cause d'un gros mouvement de grève des postes de l'époque...Heureusement, l'histoire ne se répète pas :-).

Commence donc la looongue attente, ponctuée de plusieurs étapes, et si tout va bien:

AR du BIQ: environ J+2 mois

Convocation pour un entretien/CSQ: entre 4 et 6 mois,soit J+6/8 mois

Entre temps, je prépare la demande de PVT en novembre

Obtention du PVT: janvier 2011

Une fois le CSQ en poche, grand départ! Sans oublier de boucler au maximum le dossier de la demande de RP, pour passer à l'étape fédérale dès mon installation là-bas.

The letter made it to Paris! (Despite the strike, pffew! In the early 70's, my own mother never made it to Canada when a big postal strike thwarted her plans to go as an au pair. Good thing the story doesn't always repeat itself!)

So now, all I have to do is wait... Next steps to come:

RECEIPT from the BIQ: approx 2 months

Convocation for the interview/CSQ: approx 4 to 6 more months

In between, I'll register for the WHP in November

WHP step completed: January 2011

Then all I have to do is wait some more for the CSQ, and once this part is OK, I'll be ready to leave! Keeping in mind that before leaving, I have to gather all the documents and get ready for the final step: the federal immigration process!

BIQ, CSQ, WHP... You don't have a clue what I'm talking about?
